It’s Monday afternoon, I’m finally waking up as the sun is finally peaking through the clouds here in SD after a much welcomed rain. I just came across this gem from Adam K & Soha only a few weeks ago and I’m really feeling the vocals of Naan in this one – reminiscent of Kaskade! Hope you like it!
It’s Tunage Tuesday! Here’s a massive playlist for all you needing a quick but lengthy fix of new (and some old) tunes. It ranges from dubstep to electro to house to trance (nothing too crazy though, don’t worry) with a hint of ambient/alternative/pop. The track list is listed below. There are a few songs that overlap earlier posts, you should probably get over it though… Furthermore, a minute portion of these tracks [2] are YouTube rips because they’re not officially released yet. Don’t forget to rate, comment, and, of course, enjoy!
I also uploaded the rest of the Halfway Gone (Remixes) CD, it includes 8 mixes from Morgan Page, Fred Falke, and Jody Den Broeder (including the songs above^)
The Whitest Boy Alive is another great indie band that you should really check out! These remixes have a lot of pop and energy. Andy Webb’s remix blends The Whitest Boy Alive with tracks from Mylo and Cut Copy (another great band). Enjoy!
Kaskade is the stage name of American DJ and record producer, Ryan Raddon. Frequently topping the Billboard Hot Dance 100 charts with his rapidly changing electronic sound, he eventually found that house music was the subgenre he loved best. While Raddon’s roots lie in Chicago, Illinois, this DJ found his spiritual and musical home in San Francisco, by way of Salt Lake City and New York, where he is currently one of the most influential people in the San Francisco house scene. All this appreciation is not to say that he takes his profession too seriously. “I’m just a guy who loves to make music, and I’m having a really, really good time doing so. I’m not it in for the ‘scene.’ I don’t wear shiny sequin shirts and I don’t usually hang out in clubs unless I’m going for a specific reason.” His work with several artists like Deadmau5 and Late Night Alumni have resulted some fantastic originals and remixes that I recommend you check out for those relaxed, laid-back times or, like myself, body-mashing good times.
