I already posted this song a while back (Repost!) but it always brings such a cool vibe to the room with its bouncy, progressive beat (love the saxophone @ ~2:16).
Fred Falke is back again with a remix of Florrie’s “Call 911″, he always does such a good job – he’s a master of remixing. It is a bit more effeminate this time around, however.
Some cool hip-hop beats, these guys collab with emancipator every now and then (I’d post individual tracks, but I got lazy. You outta just check out the whole CD that I’ve provided)
I also uploaded the rest of the Halfway Gone (Remixes) CD, it includes 8 mixes from Morgan Page, Fred Falke, and Jody Den Broeder (including the songs above^)
The Whitest Boy Alive is another great indie band that you should really check out! These remixes have a lot of pop and energy. Andy Webb’s remix blends The Whitest Boy Alive with tracks from Mylo and Cut Copy (another great band). Enjoy!
With his new CD, “Believe,” arriving in under a month (Feb 23), I figured I’d post up some Morgan Page remixes. He just released a teaser single (complete with remixes) titled, “Strange Conditions” – it’s okay at best. Otherwise, the clips and previews I’ve heard of the other songs off the upcoming album sounded pretty good (“In Your Area” shows a lot of promise for some badass remixes)! Here are some randoms. > > Check my otherMorgan Page post for more tracks! < <
Miike Snow took a lot of people by surprise in 2009 with their coolheaded indie electro-pop sound. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, the band is comprised of singer/songwriter, Andrew Wyatt, and production team, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, formerly known as Bloodshy & Avant. Miike Snow’s piano riffs have a floaty lullaby tone to them but, when mixed with the shimmery synths and steady percussions, the outcome is a catchy melody with a unique melancholic yet upbeat sound. After the release of their eponymous debut album “Miike Snow” in mid 2009, the modest trio continued to maintain a low profile amidst of great success and high praise after sweeping the blogs. The resulting variety of remixes that inevitably turned up online from names like Fred Falke and dubstep pioneer, Caspa, brought them even further on scene with a newenergetic feel to their already hot tracks. If you like feel good music, please check out this band!
Norwegian native, pop-indie artist, Annie, began DJing in Bergen, Norway in 1999, when she released the Madonna-sampled, underground smash single, “The Greatest Hit”, which gradually became popular in Norwegian and British nightclubs. Her career took off from that point and she went on to release “Anniemal” in 2004 with the production help/influence of fellow Norwegian band, Röyksopp, and England’s own Richard X. For the most part, however, Annie’s CD has not grown on me. I’m not impressed past the following select original tracks and outstanding remixes. Yet, the songs of hers that I do like, I sincerely love!
