Well this is the 150th post on dubPhonics and with that, let the snow start to fall! I’ve been playing through these two albums a lot this week, diggin’ the huge/filthy electro and dubstep sounds – both are amazing productions really.
My picks:OVERWERKS‘ “Buzzin'” and “Paradigm” tracks, Kill The Noise’s “Deal With It (KOAN Sound Remix)”, “Kill The Noise (Dillon Francis Remix)”, and “Dying (Brown & Gammon Remix)” tracks. Get at em!
Kaskade’s latest album (lucky number 7), “Fire And Ice”, another iTunes release like above (AAC – 256), is full of what everyone insists to call “sparkling”, well, okay I guess… He definitely helps define the signature San Francisco house sound, with his productions and mixes being slices of shimmering house. ReleaseLog went so far as to say, “be ready to sail over a rainbow on your way to Dance music with this one”. Anyway, I’d say this one is fifty-fifty, there are some great tracks with guests like Skrillex, David Guetta, and Skylar Grey while others I’ve been skipping through (there are 20 tracks on this release).
Got a fresh mash-up by Basic Physics that combines some big chunes from artists, Mord Fustang, Daft Punk, and Mike Posner. This one’s shown to be a hit on Turntable.fm (which you should also check out).
So I’m sure you’ve all seen Justice’s new commercial spot they did with Adidas (seen here). It’s pretty awesome and has certainly raised the hype over Justice’s newest track, “Civilization”. Well, I didn’t want to post any of the lowly 128 ripped versions that are floating around the interweb. Rather, today I offer you the full (non-transcoded) 320! Enjoy
My buddy, DJ Gurbtron, gave me the heads up on this incredibly grimy/wompy dubstep remix of Red Hot Chili Peppers, “Can’t Stop”. It’s been a minute since I heard anything from the rock group. Love and Light has plenty more grimy dubstep beats found at their soundcloud here.
Ever heard of Ellie Goulding? Well there’s yet another remix of her “Guns And Horses” track that gets far too little love (in comparison with her other songs). JAQUES drops some fresh wobbles and breaks and I’m really diggin’ the reverb he’s added to her singing.
