I came across Sigma’s dubstep remix of this track earlier and I’m really feeling the good vibes through its lighthearted-pop singer and electro-bass slappin’ dubbiness! A lot of good remixes (and of course, the original) follow in the linked 10-track zip. Check it, “let go” and enjoy!
As an added bonus, I have another track that was released a few months back, a remix by the Doctor who always fills my prescription for bass, Doctor P. “Lies” has that more reserved dubstep sound but bangs just as hard.
It’s Tunage Tuesday! Here’s a massive playlist for all you needing a quick but lengthy fix of new (and some old) tunes. It ranges from dubstep to electro to house to trance (nothing too crazy though, don’t worry) with a hint of ambient/alternative/pop. The track list is listed below. There are a few songs that overlap earlier posts, you should probably get over it though… Furthermore, a minute portion of these tracks [2] are YouTube rips because they’re not officially released yet. Don’t forget to rate, comment, and, of course, enjoy!
We got some new grimy goods from Bassnectar (although it’s not very new, just decided to throw it up here) and if you guys are really looking to get filthy, Doctor P and Zeds Dead are serving up some wompy remixes that should satisfy the dirtiest of tastes √+
Course, when I heard Danger had a mix of Nero’s “Me & You”, I was all over it. Kind of funny though, sounds a bit cheesy with a beat and synths sounding like they were ripped straight from the 80s. Love it.
Uppermost has been stealin’ the show here lately with his huge sound – as you may have noticed in his “Cake Shop Is Dope” track I posted up earlier. So, as per request, I’ve uploaded an 8-track compilation for all you electro/bass-heads out there, just his work though, no remixes. I’ve found it sounds a lot like Glitch Mob meets Wolfgang Gartner meets Skrillex – with a hint of trance here ‘n’ there. But it doesn’t matter how I describe it, cause you ought to just download the comp! Another note to you impatient types out there, a lot of these songs break off into brief but oh so welcome breakdowns/transitions (“Sound Box” drops into an awesome deep-house beat @ 3:00), but you’ll see for yourself soon enough. A Massive Check Plus goes to this one!
Ellie Goulding – I thought I’d heard it all, then I heard this chipmunk cover of her “Lights!” track. I seldom post hip-hop, but I really liked the beat on this one.
My first dubPhonics blog post has arrived as I will be putting up most the beats that catch my ear and I feel will catch yours as well. I’m glad to be a part of the dubPhonics team and thoroughly enjoy sharing my music so I hope you enjoy my addition to this blog!
Before I continue, I MUST enlighten you guys on one of the oldest and most recognized DJs across the globe, Bad Boy Bill.
I had the opportunity to see him spin the other night in what’s said to be the best night of the year at SF’s own Ruby Skye Club. With that said, let me show you how this DMC Competitor broke into the electro scene and now is the co-founder of the worlds #1 Mp3 download site for DJs, Beatport.
Bad Boy Bill at the DMC DJ Battle 1989 (year I was born…)
His NOT surprising progress into the House/Electro world.
